United Way of South Central's goal is to create lasting changes by addressing the underlying causes of local problems. It focuses on three building blocks for a better life:

Our Impact

• With many volunteers and raising over $340,000 annually, the United Way makes substantial investments in the community through its partner agencies.

          ~ 19 agencies and 22 programs receive funding

          ~ 1 in every 3 people are directly served by a United Way funded program

          ~ 99 cents of every dollar stays local with 85 cents directly invested in direct program services

          ~ Serves a 4 county area including Marion, Jefferson, Wayne and Washington counties  

              in Southern llinois
