PARTNER AGENCIES
United Way's across the county bring diverse people and resources together to address the most urgent issues their communities face. Through unique partnerships and approaches, United Way's mobilize resources beyond the dollars that are pled ged through their fundraising efforts. Community partners often include schools, governments, businesses, organized labor, financial institutions, voluntary and neighborhood associations, community development corporations and the faith community.
Today, United Way connects the philantropic community with local nonprofit organizations to make a lasting impact on critical issues that affect the community and is advancing the common good through a sharpened focus particularily in the areas of education, health and financial stability.
The agencies funded for 2011 are listed below and represent a vast number of resources that are addressing many other areas of health and human services beyond those programs funded by our United Way. These agencies and their programs have been thoroughly reviewed by a team of volunteers from the community and we are proud to provide grant funding to these programs.
