2,300+ children

Receiving a free Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library book each month. A book arriving in the mail gives families another chance to read together. Month by month, children build a home library they can return to as they grow.

 

$2 million+ in essentials

Distributed through United We Give since September 2024. Volunteers turn donated truckloads into sorted supplies that schools and nonprofit partners can put to use. Hygiene products, household goods and school supplies stretch local budgets and reach neighbors through the organizations that serve them.

 

$430,000 in mortgage relief

Helping families remain in their homes across Jefferson, Washington and Marion counties.

 

Keeping families in their homes

Through United Way of South Central Illinois’s work with the Illinois Housing Development Authority’s mortgage relief program, $430,000 in assistance reached households in Jefferson, Washington and Marion counties.

 

That support helped keep families in their homes and brought needed resources back into our communities. It is a local example of financial security in action: connecting people with assistance that helps protect the place they call home.

 

Building access close to home

Our RAM Clinic is planned for May 14–15, 2027, with free medical, dental and vision care. The United Midwest Food Hub begins distributions November 5, 2026, bringing Midwest Food Bank deliveries closer to pantry partners.
